Using the Campaign Projector

The Campaign Projector tab allows you to do 4 really important things:
• Use a lot of criteria to search or explore or report on your “General Influence Model” campaign data
• Click to sort a column to reveal the “Top 10” in that category (ascending or descending)
• Run projections based on that historical data and either a specific sales goal you want to try to help meet OR a proposed spend
• Export all this to excel

Tips on reporting

One of the major benefits of the Campaign Influence Analyzer is that it rolls all the Influence data up to the campaigns themselves, enabling cool analyses like the Projector allows you to do.

You can use the reports on the “Campaign Influence Dashboard” as a basis to create your own campaign reports and dashboards.

However, you’ll probably also want to do things like see which campaigns perform best for certain segments, verticals, or specific types of opportunities, etc…

In other words, Opportunity / Account / Contact specific attributes that are hidden by roll-ups.

In those cases, you will need to report on the Campaign Influence Split records themselves, and group by campaign name or another campaign field, summarizing the cash or number field you’re analyzing.

Use these reports as a basis for your more detailed analysis (Save As):
• Camp Inf: Influence Splits (General)
• Camp Inf: Influence Splits (First)
• Camp Inf: Influence Splits (Last)
• Camp Inf: Influence Splits (Most Influential)
• Camp Inf: Influence Splits (Closers)

Take special note of these reports’ sort on the summarized value, as this reporting feature is key to effective analysis within Salesforce:

This feature enables you to sort the most (or least) effective campaigns to the top.
